Notate Privacy Policy

On-device transcription. Last updated May 30, 2026.

Notate collects nothing. There is no account, no server, no analytics, and no tracking. Every transcription runs entirely on your device and never leaves it.

What Notate does with your audio

Notate transcribes speech using a Whisper model that runs locally on your iPhone or Mac. Audio you record or import is processed on-device and is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared. Transcripts are stored only in Notate's local storage on your device.

Data we collect

None. Notate does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party trackers. We never see your audio, your transcripts, or how you use the app.

Permissions

Purchases

Notate costs one dollar, once. The payment is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Notate never sees your payment details. Ownership is verified locally; no purchase data is sent anywhere else.

Children

Notate does not collect data from anyone, including children, and contains no ads or external links to unverified content.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date. Since Notate collects nothing, material changes are unlikely.
